I am excited to be joining the staff here at Barrhead Elementary School and teaching the wonderful students from the community.
My husband, our two sons and I have just moved to Barrhead in 2015. Barrhead however is not a new place for me. I grew up just outside of Barrhead and graduated from the high school a few years ago. After high school, I attended Augustana University College in Camrose where I met my husband. After we got married, I attended Concordia University College to get my teaching degree. I began my teaching career in Airdrie, Ab right after university. My husband Heath followed suit and began his teaching career there as well. We made great friends and connections in the city of Airdrie- it was a difficult decision to leave, but we are excited about our opportunities in Barrhead. We look forward to using what we have learned in the last few years of teaching and using it in our classrooms in Pembina Hills.
We have three boys- Hudson who just turned four in August, Harrison who is 3 and Holdyn who is soon to be 1. We moved back to Barrhead to be closer to family for our children. We enjoy our life in the small town and raising our boys close to their cousins and grandparents.
I am excited to be in Grade Two!
